ANCIENT CHINA'S GEOGRAPHIC FEATURES
ancient china had two major river systems. it was the chang jiang river, huang he, and the yellow river. most of china's agriculture was done near the chang jiang and huang he river. it was good because there was a lot of silt and fertile soil. the north china plain was china's center of civilization. china's lands were barriered by oceans, vast deserts, and mountain ranges. some mountain ranges were the pamir, the himalayas, and the tian shan. these barriers acted as a protection from invaders. the climate in china was similar to the u.s. each region had a different climate, which was good because different climate means agriculture for different crops like wheat or soybeans.
CHINA IS ISOLATED
since there was all of these barriers, they had only a few of influences outside china. THE CHINESE CULTURE COULDN'T SPREAD OUT AROUND THE WORLD BEACUSE OF THE FEW INFLUENCES. SO THAT IS WHY THE OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT SENT PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF THE GREAT WALL TO SPREAD THE CHINESE CULTURE. SOME PEOPLE GOT MARRIED WITH OTHER PEOPLE. BUT THE GOVERNMENT SENT OUT ONLY A FEW BECAUSE THEY DIDNT WANT THEIR CULTURE TO BE MIXED.
