1. Justify how this project/activity/assignment meets the standard, using evidence from the standard itself to demonstrate your mastery and/or understanding.
This project meets the standard because I analyzed how the African people in the North and South lived. I had to find out what challenges they faced and what they had to go through differently in the North and the South.
2. Elaborate on at least 1 skill and/or strength you feel you gained from completing this project.(Coloring and/or drawing are not skills to write about- elaborate on life skills you can take out of this project)
One skill I gained from this project is the skill to be able to extract information from many different notes that I had about the North and the South. I had many different worksheets about the North and the South.
3. Upon reflecting on your work/score, what is one area of work you could have done better on? How will improving in this area benefit future work/projects? (Coloring and/or drawing are not skills to write about- research skills, time management, etc..)
I could've done better by doing all three of the options: brochure, comic, informational passage. However, I did procrastinate and had time to do only the comic from all three. If I had done all three, the other two would have been extra credit which would help me raise my grade.
4. How will you presently apply the content and skills you learned from this assignment in the real world (outside of the classroom, particularly in today's society.) Make connections between the content and your life.
I can use the skill of getting the most important information from many different sources. I had many different notes and had to extract the most important facts that will go on any project or paper.
