1. Justify how this project/activity/assignment meets the standard, using evidence from the standard itself to demonstrate your mastery and/or understanding.
This activity involves a debate about how our assigned planet is able to sustain life with one device that we made. We had to find our evidence and use it in an argument.
2. Elaborate on at least 1 Science & Engineering Practice you feel you met/gained from completing this project.
One SEP that I fell like I have gained is the skill of engaging in argument from evidence. For this debate, my group collected information about our planet and what makes it the best planet for us to live on. We also had to create one device to help us sustain life on our planet.
3. Upon reflecting on your work/experience and/or score, what is one SEP you could have done better on? How will improving in this SEP benefit future works/projects? Give me next steps for improving in this SEP.
One SEP that I could've improved on is analyzing and interpretting data. We had a lot of data going on for our planet. We had to figure out if a piece of information will be able to help us in our debate.
4. How will you presently apply the content and skills you learned from this assignment in the real-world,outside of the classroom? Make connections between the content and your life.
I can use the skill of obtaining information and using it in an argument. There will be a lot of times where I will have a debate about something. I will need to find my own information when I'm getting ready for a debate.
