1. Justify how this project/activity/assignment meets the standard, using evidence from the standard itself to demonstrate your mastery and/or understanding.
This project meets the standard because we think about our future and put it on a poster. You can say that my dreams are on this poster. I put what I want my future to be. I also wrote an essay of what will happen in my future. The pictures helped to visualize the pictures on my vision board.
2. Elaborate on at least 1 skill and/or strength you feel you gained from completing this project.(Coloring and/or drawing are not skills to write about- elaborate on life skills you can take out of this project)
One skill that I feel like I gained was the skill of deep thinking. I really had to think a lot about what my dream was and what to put on my vision board. Another skill I gained was the skill of narrative writing. The essay was more like a story of my future that I "visioned". Narrative writing skills can really come in handy when I have a writing exam or even when I have to write an essay. Narrative writing can help me a lot when I have writing exams. Maybe I want to write a book or a children's story. Even small things like being creative has to do with narrative writing because you want your story to be unique from others so you need to be creative about it.
3. Upon reflecting on your work/score, what is one area of work you could have done better on? How will improving in this area benefit future work/projects? (Coloring and/or drawing are not skills to write about- research skills, time management, etc..)
I think I could've done better on the presenting because I didn't really talk about the pictures I had on the poster. I only talked about what the pictures were but I didn't go deeper into it. Another thing I could've done better on the presenting was the audience participation. There wasn't a lot of people in my audience but I should've included them into my presentation.
4. How will you presently apply the content and skills you learned from this assignment in the real world (outside of the classroom, particularly in today's society.) Make connections between the content and your life.
I can use the skill of deeper thinking because I had to think very deeply about my future for me to complete this project. I also visioned my future through this project. If I decide something about my future, then I will try my hardest to fulfill. This Vision Board gave me something to do now so that I will be able to do the things on my vision board in the future. Narrative writing skills can really come in handy when I have a writing exam or even when I have to write an essay.
